SEAL: Concerns over NOC cases

LAHORE – Environmental Consultants Association of Pakistan (ECAP) convened a meeting of Environmental Consultants of Pakistan headed by President Nehal Asghar to review the obstacles in the launch of NOCs for setting up new factories and industries by Punjab Environment Department. Concerns have been raised over NOC cases pending for years. Speaking on the occasion, President Nahal Asghar said that if the NOC’s were issued on time, the creation of new industries would reduce unemployment and will also increase the prosperity of the country. The members (ECAP) also decided to approach the courts if the current situation continues. Moreover, the members also have shown their concerns over the current situation of smog in the country. The members unanimously agreed upon the steps of public awareness regarding the precautionary measures during these days.
